You may remember Generic Surplus from my post on their badass Pointy Oxford Sneakers. With this recent sale from Gilt, I acquired two more pairs from the brand that was founded in an NYC loft in ‘97. Both of these kicks are hip as hell. I got two different grey pairs, the cotton lo top and the canvas lo top.

I love the cotton lo tops’ simplicity. With only three lace loops, the loop pattern really stands out and you have a really slick pair of sneakers. Very comfortable.

The canvas lo tops are not as stylish as the cotton ones, but they are very simple and remind me of Feiyue’s lo tops that are often bootlegged for cheap kung fu kicks.

Kudos, Generic Surplus. I am a fan, indeed!
