Michael Olatuja’s Speak is Serious Soul
Here’s a sweet relatively recent album from a small record label I used to work at, ObliqSound. Bassist Michael Olatuja has some impressive credits to his name, he’s played with Stevie Wonder, Terence Blanchard , Gretchen Parlato (also an ObliqSound artist), Chaka Khan and more. The album features compositions all written or co-written by Olatuja. The album is also self-produced, and it sounds awesome. There is some serious soul in this music. Below are my two favorite songs from the album – I can’t stop listening.
